At the heart of our system is a 25-bed inpatient hospital featuring a 24/7 Emergency Department, which is designated as a Level IV Trauma Center. Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat neurological disorders, including but not limited to epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and stroke.
- Conduct neurological exams and provide personalized care plans for patients.
- Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, and support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as EEGs and EMGs.
- Stay updated on the latest research and treatment methods in neurology.
- Educate patients and families about neurological conditions and treatment options.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient care, including consultations and follow-ups.
- Participate in community outreach and education efforts related to neurological health.
Qualifications:
- Active West Virginia medical license (MD or DO) or eligible to obtain.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology.
- Successful completion of an ACGME certified Neurology residency program.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to provide exceptional patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
