This position will support our Airport Engineering Support Team. The candidate will provide design, review, and update support to advisory circular engineering briefs and other technical documentation. This position is mostly remote and supports a remote team but will require periodic visits to the customer site in Washington, D.C. and other U.S. locations.

This position will support our Airport Engineering Support Team. The candidate will provide design, review, and update support to advisory circular engineering briefs and other technical documentation. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support writing, editing, and publishing associated technical documentation for artifacts, as well as provide administrative and tracking support for web-based applications.
- Work and coordinate closely with a wide variety of internal and external airports personnel.
- Perform the following Tasks:
- Organize materials and complete writing projects according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
- Use software tools such as Microsoft Office suite and SpecsIntact to edit, review, format, and publish nationally distributed publication products and materials, including executive memoranda, design and procedural specifications, white papers, on-line help files and tutorials, newsletters, web content, field training curriculum, and industry-wide magazine articles.
- Create and/or maintain standard templates for publications listed above.
- Select and utilize photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate published material.
- Review pre-published documents for correctness, compliance with industry accepted standards, federal government legislative and regulatory requirements, and user standards specified in Technical Orders (TOs), which must be submitted to the COR for coordination/approval prior to publishing.
- Maintain document versioning/tracking requirements for publications.
- Support maintenance updates of owned/managed regulatory guidance.
- Maintain records and files of completed work, including issues and revisions.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Ability to lead project work as well as contribute as a part of larger team.
- Well-versed in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.)
- Experience using virtual work tools, such as Teams, SharePoint recommended.
- Must be eligible to achieve Public Trust clearance.
Desired Skills/Abilities
- Instructional design experience.
- FAA experience, ideally advisory circular writing.
- Excellent MS Suite skills.
- 508 compliance experience.
- Experience with Blue Beam.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in education, English, journalism, history, political science or equivalent degree.
- 15 years of relevant experience.
