Meet the team:
This position will be in Dexcom IT/OT team and will be dedicated on projects with operations engineering and manufacturing teams.
The role will work in close collaboration with IT/OT manufacturing software system engineers, manufacturing operations engineers, manufacturing process engineers, operations QA and cross functional IT teams, and will work on SQL Server, SCADA, MES (Siemens Opscenter) and customized manufacturing software.

This position will be in Dexcom IT/OT team and will be dedicated on projects with operations engineering and manufacturing teams.
The role will work in close collaboration with IT/OT manufacturing software system engineers, manufacturing operations engineers, manufacturing process engineers, operations QA and cross functional IT teams, and will work on SQL Server, SCADA, MES (Siemens Opscenter) and customized manufacturing software.
Where you come in
- Provide day-to-day technical support for manufacturing software systems, including MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), SCADA, SQL Server, and related applications.
- Support continuous software improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance system performance, user experience, and operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software-related production issues in a timely manner to minimize manufacturing downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, IT, and Production to identify root causes and implement corrective actions for software and system anomalies.
- Monitor and maintain system performance, ensuring uptime and reliability across supported platforms.
- Support software deployments, configuration updates, and system integrations in manufacturing environments.
- Document incidents, service requests, and resolutions in accordance with IT service management processes.
- Conduct routine system health checks and participate in software validation and change control processes.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, and support procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours or weekend support as needed.
- This position assumes and performs other duties as assigned.
What makes you successful:
- 5+ years of experience supporting manufacturing or industrial software systems (e.g., MES, SCADA, database-driven applications).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience with one or more manufacturing systems such as Siemens Opcenter, Ignition, or equivalent platforms.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments (e.g., GMP, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma principles).
- Proficiency in SQL and database query tools for data analysis and issue diagnosis.
- Familiarity with software deployment tools, system monitoring, and version control practices.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including IT, Engineering, Quality, and Production.
- Familiarity and have practical experience with industry standards related to manufacturing operations including ISA-95
- Knowledge of FDA regulations such as 21 CFR Part 11
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to document technical issues and communicate with both technical and non-technical users.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with relational databases
- Experience with SW V&V of Automated systems on the factory floor.
- Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize projects, and maintain timelines.
- Detail oriented and organized.

Experience and Education Requirements:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 5-8 years related experience or Master's degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 0-2 years experience.
