About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Labor Relations Consultant to be part of the Human Resources (HR) Labor Relations team. This team is responsible for strategy, implementation, oversight and maintenance of Wells Fargo Labor Relations program and policies.

The Senior Labor Relations Consultant is a key position within the Labor Relations team providing leadership on execution delivery. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to partner with the Labor Relations Executive and team on the planning, execution, monitoring and completion of key projects.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Labor Relations function and contribute to large-scale planning related to assigned areas
  • Engage with managers within assigned business groups, including newly unionized teams, to educate, support, and ensure compliance with organized labor requirements
  • Provide representation for the organization in the following areas of focus which may include, but not limited to collective bargaining proceedings, negotiating and administering contracts, and implementing various initiatives in accordance with Wells Fargo's Labor Relations strategy as wells as applicable regulations
  • Review and analyze moderately complex business challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Support implementation of strategic labor relations initiatives across various Wells Fargo businesses
  • Prepare for contract negotiations, administration, arbitration, and grievance resolution through in-depth research, analysis, and proposal and contract drafting. Implement and administer negotiated labor agreements
  • Participate in projects aimed at development of systems, processes and procedures to streamline, identify, and escalate labor and employee engagement related risks
  • Independently resolve moderately complex issues and lead team to delivery results by leveraging thorough knowledge of employment and labor laws, government regulations and agency rules, and provisions as well as sound knowledge of the National Labor Relations Act and other related current affairs and developments
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve HR service delivery goals
  • Work closely with business, HR, risk, legal, compliance, and audit teams to ensure appropriate response to regulatory or other external agencies
  • May provide guidance to less experienced team members on work related areas


Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Labor Relations experience in an organized environment or Labor Law or Strategic Planning expertise, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:
  • Labor Relations expertise or relevant HR Experience in an organized environment and / or Labor Law expertise.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) and experience with the union organizing process
  • Experience in collective bargaining negotiations
  • Strong executive presence, facilitation skills, drive for results, attention to quality and detail.
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels, including senior levels and drive decision making through a collaborative process approach.
  • Ability to create and deliver well-articulated communications (e.g., PowerPoint presentations and emails) applying appropriate level of content and detail dependent upon audience and intent.
  • Ability to motivate and influence groups or individuals across organizational boundaries to gain trust and confidence to make timely decisions.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$84,000.00 - $149,400.00
