Description:

The Lead Special Security Representative (SSR) will be responsible for assisting in the daily management and implementation of Special Compartmented Information (SCI) security and administrative functions within a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). This role involves supporting military senior leaders in SCI program management, policy development, planning, and operational integration. The SSR will coordinate with parent Special Security Offices as needed and provide guidance to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures. Additionally, the SSR will support Army Reserve Military Intelligence (MI) Soldiers' training readiness by ensuring that training platforms adhere to ICD-705 standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and manage SCI security protocols within the SCIF. Oversee administrative functions related to SCI security.
  • Assist military senior leaders with SCI program management. Aid in policy development, planning, and operations integration.
  • Maintain communication and coordination with parent Special Security Offices. Ensure alignment of SCI security practices with higher-level directives.
  • Advise leadership to ensure adherence to all applicable SCI security regulations, policies, and procedures. Monitor compliance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Provide critical support to Army Reserve MI Soldiers' training readiness. Ensure training platforms meet the standards set by ICD-705.
  • Maintain detailed records of SCI security measures and activities. Prepare and submit required reports to leadership and relevant security offices.
  • Respond to and manage security incidents within the SCIF. Conduct investigations and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Conduct SCI security education and training sessions for personnel. Ensure that all personnel are aware of and adhere to SCI security policies and procedures.


Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Military training and experience can be substituted for a degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in SCI security management and administration.
  • Strong knowledge of SCI security protocols and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to produce high-quality documentation and reports.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.

Desired:
  • Advanced degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience working with Army networks and classified systems.
  • Additional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or similar.
  • Experience with advanced SCI security tools and techniques.
  • Familiarity with Army-specific IA requirements and procedures.
