Our Wholesalers team in the Business Development, Investment Solutions Department is growing to serve our Signature Service offices! Do you have in-depth knowledge of the financial markets, the economy and our investment solutions? Do business development and B2B drive you? Do you have strong experience in the field? Do you have a good understanding of the Desjardins Signature Service business model? This opportunity is for you! As a Regional Sales Manager, Wholesaler, Signature Service, you have a solid understanding of the financial services industry and of Desjardins investments products and services to proactively support Signature Service advisors. You're responsible for supporting advisors in producing new sales while focusing on maintaining assets under management. You develop new relationships and maintain existing ones with Signature Service advisors. In partnership with the regional sales advisor, you develop and implement the area's business plan to reach and exceed sales and activity objectives. More specifically, you will be required to:
  • Proactively hold one-on-one sales meetings using a consultative sales approach to identify needs, issues or opportunities to promote the right investment solution.
  • Carry out a business plan for the area that focuses on deepening existing client relationships and engage in prospecting activities to expand the scope of Desjardins's investment solutions
  • Consistently achieve and exceed minimum activity and sales objectives
  • Continually demonstrate efficient management and prioritization of prospects and area coverage
  • Maintain a solid understanding of Desjardins's investment solutions, competitors and financial markets
  • Effectively use the sales tools provided (CRM, Excel to perform, monitor and analyze the effectiveness / impact of targeted sales campaigns, hypothetical illustration tools, financial calculators and Webex presentations)
  • Carry out business development activities such as presentations at branch meetings, seminars for advisors and investors, participating in dealer conferences
  • Represent Desjardins at industry-related events.
  • Work with the regional sales advisor through effective, ongoing communication and area planning.

What you bring to the table
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience, including five years of sales experience
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Canadian Investment Funds Course
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Intermediate knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry
  • Availability 60% to 70% of the time to support sales efforts in the following area: Bas-Saint-Laurent and Gaspsie-les-de-la-Madeleine, Kamouraska Chaudire-Appalaches, Lvis-Lotbinire-Bellechasse, Mauricie, Quebec City, Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean-Charlevoix and Centre-du-Qubec and Estrie
