The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Director, Logistics to lead and optimize our global supply chain and distribution operations within the biopharmaceutical industry. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient, compliant, and timely movement of all GMP and non-GMP shipments including, but not limited to materials, process intermediates, drug substances, drug products, and finished pharmaceutical products while adhering to Good Distribution Practices (GDP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cold chain logistics, international shipping regulations, and supply chain risk management.
What You Will Contribute
Develop and implement logistics and warehousing strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency, cost, and reliability.
Oversee global transportation, warehousing, and distribution to ensure timely delivery of biopharmaceutical products.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including planning, manufacturing, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and commercial operations.
Ensure compliance with FDA, EMA, and other global regulatory requirements related to biopharmaceutical logistics.
Oversee adherence to GDP, GMP, and cold chain logistics best practices.
Implement and maintain supply chain risk management strategies, including contingency planning for disruptions.
Ensure proper documentation and reporting for regulatory inspections and audits.
Oversee temperature-controlled logistics for biologics, cell and gene therapies, and other temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals.
Partner with logistics providers and carriers to ensure the integrity of shipments from manufacturing sites to distribution centers and customers.
Monitor and optimize packaging and storage solutions for pharmaceutical products requiring specialized handling.
Develop and manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, couriers, and shipping partners.
Negotiate contracts and service agreements to ensure cost-effective and reliable logistics operations.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of supply chain activities.
Utilize logistics management systems (LMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and data analytics to monitor and improve performance.
Implement digital solutions for real-time tracking, shipment visibility, and predictive analytics to optimize logistics efficiency.
Leverage AI and automation to drive supply chain improvements and reduce operational risks.

What We Seek
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations, with at least 5 years in the biopharma or life sciences industry.
- Proven expertise in cold chain logistics, GDP/GMP compliance, and global supply chain regulations.
- Strong leadership experience, with the ability to manage teams and drive strategic initiatives.
- Experience working with 3PLs, freight forwarders, and regulatory agencies.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, or other supply chain management software is preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clear and timely interactions across teams and vendors.
- Proficiency with Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), Smartsheet, or similar tools for data analysis and reporting.
- Problem-solving mindset and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, global environment.

- Flexibility with working hours as needed based on business requirements.
What We Will Provide to You:
- The base salary range for this role is $209K-$231K. The final compensation will be commensurate with relevant experience, skillset, internal equity, and market factors.
