The U.S. Consumer Services Team is responsible for our suite of consumer products, services, and experiences in the U.S., including our premium, cobrand, cash back, and lending portfolios, Membership Rewards, Global Travel & Lifestyle Services, the Centurion Lounge network, our Global Dining and Resy businesses, U.S. Consumer Banking, and best-in-class marketing programs across customer, prospect, and partner channels. Membership Portfolio Services is responsible for developing and scaling several growing businesses that are strategically important to American Express. Each of the businesses within Membership Portfolio Services connect Card Members with Merchants - a key differentiator of our Membership Model - and which also represent a significant opportunity to help drive our growth over the mid-to-long term.

Amex Offers sits within the Membership Portfolio Services Team.

Launched in 2012, Amex Offers is a digital advertising platform that connects Merchants and brands with the tens of millions of American Express Card Members across the globe. The Amex Offers team develops strategic marketing partnerships that deliver unique differentiated value for Merchants and Advertisers to reach high-spending Card Members in the digital channels where they engage with American Express, delivering deep insights and maximizing results. Through this complete marketing solution, we can help advertisers get laser-focused on who our mutual customers are, what they want, and how we can meet their needs.

How will you make an impact in this role?

The Senior Manager, Oversight and Excellence is part of the Amex Offers Global Operations Center of Excellence within Amex Offers Digital Media. This individual will report directly to the Director of Amex Offers Global Operations and Oversight and be responsible for implementing effective operational risk management programs and internal program reviews.

This individual will play a key role in scaling and ensuring complaint growth of advertising products. This is a high visibility opportunity that includes working with cross functional stakeholders across the enterprise including several senior leaders. The successful candidate will strengthen Amex Offers Digital Media risk framework and ensure that governance structures, policies, and procedures are robust, effective, and align with internal policies (e.g. AEMP 88, AEMP 54) and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead compliant growth for advertising/digital media products across AEMP 54, risk assessments and control development
  • Manage project and communication plans to keep relevant stakeholders at different levels informed, receive inputs and remove roadblocks as relevant
  • Develop business monitoring and testing procedures for customer-facing colleagues to meet customer-facing interaction (CFI) minimum standards
  • Stay abreast of internal policy and regulatory changes and industry best practices; evaluate and integrate changes into AODM procedures & trainings for AODM Colleagues
  • Regularly evaluate the Amex Offers Digital Media governance framework's effectiveness including leading process enhancement workstreams
  • Create material for periodic updates and presentations to senior stakeholders as well as reporting packages
  • Be a thought leader with a proactive mindset - align stakeholders, assess risks and escalate or devise mitigation strategies, think through interdependencies, etc.


Qualifications

  • 5-10+ years of experience in project management and/or operational risk management (e.g., within Risk and/or Internal Audit function) and understands critical operational risk management lifecycle activities
  • Experience developing or enforcing procedures for Customer-facing Colleagues including sales conduct and business monitoring procedures
  • Knowledge of advertising, product, tech capabilities a plus
  • Project management skills and experience working on large enterprise projects / programs
  • Strong relationship building skills and ability to effectively collaborate and work with stakeholders across groups, geographies and with varying backgrounds
  • Experience driving transformational change across the enterprise
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze data, identify trends, and clearly communicate and visualize insights
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to operate independently in a highly complex matrixed environment


Qualifications

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
