Job Description

The Senior Finance and Revenue Manager is responsible for financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support revenue growth and maximize financial performance. This role provides strategic insights to drive profitability, revenue, optimize cost structures and enhance business management across the division. The ideal candidate will foster a culture of professionalism, fiscal responsibility, and data-driven decision-making, ensuring financial integrity while identifying opportunities for increased revenue and market share. This position reports to the Vice President of Mountain Sales & Schools.

The budgeted salary range for this position is $100,000 - 130,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions / Key Responsibilities
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and divisional goal setting with a focus on mid- to long-term strategic objectives, ensuring alignment with company-wide financial goals
  • Lead the division's revenue management strategy, including pricing, product lifecycle management, competitive analysis, and alignment with sales and marketing initiatives to drive revenue growth
  • Evaluate, optimize, and streamline finance and payroll systems, processes and operations, collaborating with managers and taking a leadership role on strategic initiatives
  • Lead the division's annual budget process and financial performance analysis, ensuring compliance with ASC Corporate Finance procedures and timelines
  • Develop industry-leading forecasting, reporting, and trend analysis processes to inform operational managers of business unit performance
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses, including special projects, industry benchmarking, and business/brand expansion initiatives for both the department and corporate finance
  • Oversee the school's payroll team and processes in collaboration with Aspen One HR & Payroll, ensuring timely and accurate employee compensation
  • Prepare and update financial analyses and projections on a regular basis and as required, including revenue estimates, income forecasts, and cash flow assessments
  • Identify and implement strategies to increase revenue and share of wallet through financial training and collaboration with cross-functional teams, product development, sales performance analysis, and incentive programs
  • Support leadership development by enhancing divisional personnel's financial management and analysis capabilities
  • Act as the primary departmental representative in all discussions and regular meetings with corporate finance, accounting, strategy, revenue management, and product development.

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field required; Master's degree (MBA, Finance, Accounting) preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, analysis, and budgeting required
  • 5 years of experience in financial management within the mountain resort, hotel, or hospitality industry preferred
  • Demonstrated experience leading financial planning, revenue management, and business strategy initiatives

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and general ledger management required
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP compliance and financial reporting standards required
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, data analysis, and scenario planning, required
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Power BI or other business intelligence tools for data visualization and reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data sets and provide actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence decision-making.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead financial planning, revenue management, and business strategy initiatives
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and mentor teams and/or individuals across multiple departments to drive performance, engagement, and professional growth

Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements
  • May sometimes work in adverse conditions and requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements as well as an office environment and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
