POSITION SUMMARY:
As the Site Quality Leader, you will provide strategic leadership and management for the quality function, upholding a strong quality philosophy "Zero Defects" and lean culture. Your primary responsibilities include optimizing an effective quality management system, developing and implementing a comprehensive quality plan, and serving as the Management Representative for Quality Systems. This high-visibility position will serve as a crucial point of contact for customers.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in aerospace quality management, strong leadership skills, and expertise in AS9100D and Quality Regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA, CAAC, etc..). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Communicates customer, regulatory and organizational requirements to assure product quality, contract compliance and customer satisfaction.
- Provides leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development. Drives a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management.
- Oversees the effective documentation and implementation of the quality management system to assure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements and the standards set by corporate/division policies.
- Implements the performance measurements necessary to effectively evaluate organizational performance and trends in product quality, services, customer satisfaction and the cost of poor quality. Uses the results of performance evaluation to target improvement efforts.
- Expert knowledge of advance problem solving to maintain corrective action system, correct nonconforming conditions, and customer complaints
- Collaborates with Purchasing on the development and implementation of a supplier management strategy (performance, development, work transfers, etc...)
- Collaborates with Engineering on new product development and design review for quality/reliability issues.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Fifteen or more years of major professional accomplishments including increasing responsibility and leadership of projects and teams of considerable size, scope and complexity for seven or more years. Demonstrated ability to perform the described role and responsibilities and obtain the desired results.
- Knowledge of the product(s) and manufacturing operations that would typically be obtained through a bachelor's degree in a manufacturing related field, business or engineering, and progressive career experience. An M.B.A., an advanced technical degree, or professional designation may be preferred.
- Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives. Capable of assessing and developing individual and team skills and capabilities. Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals. Serve as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive change.
- Current knowledge of the latest manufacturing technology, productivity and quality measurements, and material/planning systems requiring continual review of methods to optimize productivity.
