AWS Presales Solution Architect

We are looking for an AWS Presales Solution Architect to join our Cloud solutions team. This person will have a passion for cloud computing, big data, and emerging enterprise technologies.

Our engineers work on implementing data center and cloud solutions that solve real-world problems and deliver value to our long-term clients. As an architect, you are the client-facing expert who will design and deliver a technical road map to address our clients' critical business needs. You will be encouraged to leverage the newest platforms and the latest technologies to help create best-of-breed solutions.

Here is a sample of what you can contribute:

• Provide thoughtful architecture by working face-to-face with Redapt clients within the data center realm, cloud storage, and big data field
• Design state-of-the-art technical solutions on AWS that address customers' requirements for scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
• Implement solutions cross-functionally by leveraging development and automation teams that will deliver applications across multiple cloud providers, cloud tools, and client's existing infrastructure
• Analyze customer workloads and application inventories to determine appropriate cloud migration strategy. Identify integration and operations technical dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans
• Work with enterprise partners to architect and build joint solutions to showcase at events and as reference architecture
• Participate as a hands-on technical lead for engineering projects to build and optimize Redapt deployments
• Be the subject matter expert on IaaS, DevOps/Automation and Big Data.
• Continually evaluate and develop mastery of emerging technologies in the cloud space, especially AWS

Required Skills

• BS or MS in Computer Science preferred
• Certified AWS Architects highly preferred
• 10+ years applied experience including at least 2-4+ years designing and leading architectural efforts for infrastructure, web and SaaS applications
• Deep expertise on Cloud platforms with preferred knowledge across emerging technologies (AWS, Google Cloud, CloudStack/OpenStack, Joyent, RightScale, Scalr)
• Technical experience in data center operations within large enterprise networks including the implementation and support of private and hybrid cloud computing environments
• Experience with infrastructure/cloud migrations, infrastructure disaster recovery planning and implementation.
• Architect experience that clearly demonstrates in-depth knowledge of cloud computing, enterprise and open source technologies.
• Depth in at least 1 compiled language (Java, C#, or C+) and advanced scripting (Perl, Python, Go, etc.).
• Experience in automation, configuration, etc. Ideally with Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or equivalent.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes or similar orchestration platform
• Big data experience preferred
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills, interactive engagement and partnering, understanding their requirements, and offering optimum solutions

The base salary range for this full-time position in the US is $180,000 - $200,000 annually + bonuses + benefits. Redapt salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The salary range displayed in each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Please note, the base pay offered may vary within the range depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to work location, job related knowledge/skills, relevant education/training, and level of experience.
