RCM Engineering's Process & Industrial Division offers a comprehensive suite of services, from concept through to the commissioning of grassroots facilities, retrofits, and upgrades in the Process & Industrial markets. Market sectors entail industrial gas production, chemical manufacturing, metals production, refineries and advanced manufacturing.
At RCM, we pride ourselves on flexible execution strategies including office-based project execution, site-based teams, in-plant staff augmentation and seconded personnel. With over 450 Engineers and Technical Designers on staff RCM Engineering Services is well prepared to support our clients with their routine and complex engineering needs.
Competitive Salary offered, along with benefits such as 401k, Stock Purchase Plan, Health, Dental and more. Salary and Title are commensurate with experience.
Job Type: Full-time, on-site in our Buffalo, NY office.
Compensation: $90,000 to $140,000 per year, dependent upon experience.

Responsibilities:
- Direct all phases of Engineering Design projects - estimating, project direction / execution, and through construction and commissioning support
- Participate and support our client's projects by supporting engineering (basic and detailed), procurement, fabrication and construction
- Maintain a strategic focus for the projects with frequent interaction with the business unit and the client to ensure a balance between the immediate project needs and the long term goals of the company
- Manage the execute one or more simultaneous projects ranging from $0.5MM to $30MM that are affiliated with our Industrial Gas, Chemical, Commercial and other third-party customers
- Our projects are primarily located within operating facilities or brownfield locations
- Utilize project management methodologies, systems and tools as required to meet the needs of various project assignments
- Assist with Business Development and New Client acquisition
- You will lead Project Teams and facilitate the communication and interaction among the functional representatives
- Track projects against their schedules, budgets and against phase gate review objectives, reporting status to management and customer on a regular basis
- Develop and implement recovery plans for off-schedule and unanticipated occurrences
- Maintain awareness of safety and environmental requirements
- Minimum of seven years industrial related project experience, with at least 3 years of project management experience
- Possess a general understanding of contract administration, business principals and have a broad understanding of each engineering discipline
- PE Licensing and / or PMP Certification is beneficial
- Experience in construction is desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel to client locations or project sites.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- BS degree in a technical or engineering discipline
