The Role
Apollo is seeking an Associate to join the Asset Backed Finance team to focus on investments in the Fund Finance space. The successful candidate will work on both existing and new transactions across a variety of different asset classes within Fund Finance, including NAV loans, private credit warehouse facilities, subscription facilities, and novel fund financing solutions. This individual will be a core member of the investment team in a rapidly growing asset class and will have the opportunity to work across the Apollo platform and have meaningful exposure to underlying fund borrowers.

The Role

Primary Responsibilities
- Participate in all aspects of fund finance investment activities, including origination, due diligence, structuring, underwriting, cash flow modeling, relative value analysis, legal documentation, and negotiations with transaction counterparties.
- Prepare and defend investment recommendations to the Investment Committee.
- Collaborate with multiple functional groups across Apollo, including Origination, Private Equity, Corporate Credit, and our operating platforms, to deliver innovative financing solutions.
- Take a lead role in monitoring and risk-managing investment portfolios on an ongoing basis.
- Develop meaningful relationships with external counterparties.
- Assist the team with strategic origination partnerships and additional ad hoc projects (including investor requests, reporting, and presentations).
Qualifications & Experience
- 3(+) years of relevant work experience, including credit investing, banking, sales & trading, legal, and/or consulting/advisory.
- Proven experience in loan financing, capital markets, warehouse financing, or other fund finance-related activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is mandatory.
- Intellectual curiosity about investment strategies, risk management, and financial markets is also a must!
- Nimble and flexible to balance multiple tasks simultaneously with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Team-oriented, collaborative, and able to effectively communicate within lean global teams, as well as able to work independently.
- Bachelor's degree required with a degree in finance, economics, math, and/or engineering preferred.
- Knowledge of Bloomberg, AI tools, and/or programming is preferred but not required.
