Location: Peoria, IL (on-site)
Salary Range: Job Grade 29 - $125,000 - $168,000 (Exempt)
Schedule: Full-time | Must be available 24/7 for critical system support

What You'll Do:

Technology Strategy & Leadership
Develop and execute the site's IT strategy to align with business goals.
Guide, support, and manage a team of 5 IT employees and 3 contractors.
Drive continuous improvement through policy development, operational recovery planning, and strategic investments in hardware/software.
Lead IT participation in company-wide strategic planning.

Infrastructure & Systems Oversight
Oversee enterprise systems: VMware ESX, vCenter, Horizon View, MS SQL Server, Office 365, Power BI.
Manage and support Palo Alto firewalls, Veeam Backup, and VPN technologies.
Administer enterprise backup, networking (IP routing, WAN, fiber optics), and SAN storage (Nimble).
Ensure high availability of systems, including clustering for Microsoft and VMware environments.
Support IBM iSeries, JDEdwards, Epicor ERP 10/Kinetic, and Mitel phone systems.

Compliance, Projects & Communication
Maintain software licensing compliance and IT general controls.
Support regulatory compliance using COBIT and/or ITIL frameworks.
Manage enterprise-wide projects using PMBoK standards.
Communicate complex tech issues clearly to executives using non-technical language.
Oversee IT budget and project-related spending with ROI and TCO calculations.
What We're Looking For:

Experience:
10+ years in IT/IS, with 3-5 years in IT management (manufacturing environment preferred).
Hands-on technical experience essential, especially in 24/7 environments.

Education:
Bachelor's in a technical field required; Master's or MBA preferred.

Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project, Windows Server OS (2008-2025)
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, security (SIEM), and ERP systems
  • Ability to negotiate and manage vendor contracts and SLAs
  • Familiarity with Juniper EX/QFX switching hardware and JunOS a plus

Certifications:
Advanced IT or Project Management certification strongly preferred.

Mindset:
Resilient, detail-oriented, and highly adaptable with strong leadership and communication skills. Comfortable working under pressure and on-call around the clock.
