Vertiv is hiring a Senior Strategic Procurement Lead in Westerville, OH who will help set then execute key initiatives supporting overall Procurement strategy, Cost down, and continuous improvement in coordination with Americas Commodity Teams.

POSITION SUMMARY
  • Responsible for developing and executing the annual procurement strategy for the region. Including close collaboration with key stakeholders, monitoring plan versus actual performance, and ensuring the team addresses any gaps effectively.
  • Americas Cost Reduction Leader responsible for developing and executing strategies to achieve cost savings across the region. This role involves managing a team, driving cost optimization initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring measurable outcomes.
  • Lead Procurement Team in preparation and execution of internal and 3rd party Quality system audits.
  • The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership and analytical skills.
  • Develop the continuous improvement capabilities within Americas Procurement Team and lead continuous improvement projects per Vertiv Operating standards, processes, and methods.
  • Lead and help coach leaders to integrate Procurement operations and functions end to end and drive improvement to reduce costs and pervade standardized process and training amongst our team members.
  • Establish and manage relationships across functional, regional and business units to implement end-to-end procurement strategies based on business plans and objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead, develop and implement the yearly procurement strategy planning and schedule for the Americas region.
    • Monitor and analyze plan versus actual performance, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions.
    • Lead efforts to close performance gaps, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
    • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive procurement initiatives.
    • Provide regular updates and reports on procurement performance to senior leadership.
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation within the procurement function.
  • Manage and mentor a team leading cost reduction initiative, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
    • Track, monitor, and report on cost reduction performance, ensuring transparency and accountability.
    • Provide monthly updates and reports on procurement performance to senior leadership.
    • Ability to lead change initiatives and drive process excellence.
    • Partner with the regional Continuous Improvement leaders to develop and deploy strategies. Accountable to the rhythm and rigor.
  • Lead the Americas Procurement Continuous Improvement process by developing and revising standard work procedures, as well as preparing for and executing internal and third-party Quality System audits.
    • Accountable for the administration and execution of policies and procedures.
    • Preparing for and execute internal and third-party Quality System audits.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent of 10 plus years' experience
  • Supply Chain Management and/or Data Analytics

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Six Sigma / Lean certifications are preferred.
  • Continuous Improvement Experience

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • Six Sigma / Lean certifications are preferred.

TRAVEL TIME REQUIRED
  • Up to 20% travel to Vertiv facilities and/or suppliers.
