We're seeking a talented Data Engineer to architect and implement robust, scalable data solutions that power our next-generation analytics infrastructure.
Role Overview:
You will support high-performance data pipelines that process hundreds of millions of records with fault tolerance and self-healing capabilities. You'll be at the forefront of implementing analytics solutions using AWS's comprehensive suite of services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support data flow solutions using AWS services (Redshift, Lambda, Kinesis, Spectrum)
- Optimize data pipelines handling massive-scale data processing
- Develop robust ETL processes across diverse data sources (Relational, NoSQL, streaming)
- Build and maintain scalable Spark-based processing solutions
- Optimize performance for complex queries running on datasets spanning hundreds of millions of rows
- Implement hybrid storage solutions utilizing Redshift and S3
- Ensure data reliability, accuracy, and accessibility
Ideal Candidate:
- Self-motivated problem solver
- Strong analytical and debugging skills
- Excellent project management capabilities
- Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion
- Proven track record of delivering complex data solutions
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL
- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
- Experience mentoring team members on best practices
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with big data technologies such as: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR
- Experience operating large data warehouses

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $139,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $240,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
