Automotive Sales Manager / Desk Manager

An established import dealership in the Danbury, CT area is looking for an experienced General Sales Manager to lead its sales team and drive performance. This is a hands-on role for a leader who excels at desking deals, coaching sales staff, and maximizing opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the sales department, ensuring volume and gross objectives are met.
• Desk deals, structure financing, and work closely with the F&I team to optimize profitability.
• Train, mentor, and develop the sales team to improve closing ratios and customer experience.
• Track key performance metrics, monitor inventory, and implement effective sales strategies.
• Maintain a strong presence on the showroom floor, working alongside the team to drive results.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention through effective follow-up processes.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Sales Manager or Desk Manager in a dealership setting.
• Strong desking skills and understanding of finance and lease structures.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales goals.
• Strong at modern technologies, adept at utilizing the CRM and DMS

Compensation:

• Compensation package will be in the $150,000 - $185,000 range based on experience and performance.
