Position Brand Description:
The Associate - Mfg Site Procurement role provides strategic and transactional procurement support for Indy API manufacturing. The individual will assure long term materials supply, supplier relationship management, assessment of current raw materials / consumables risk position, develop and implement raw materials strategy, and implement parts of the procurement excellence processes.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$57,750 - $129,800
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance). Position Brand Description:
The Associate - Mfg Site Procurement role provides strategic and transactional procurement support for Indy API manufacturing. The individual will assure long term materials supply, supplier relationship management, assessment of current raw materials / consumables risk position, develop and implement raw materials strategy, and implement parts of the procurement excellence processes.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
- Communication: Act as a liaison with operations and critical raw material suppliers
- Supply:
- Identify high risk raw materials and inventories and establish multiple sources where possible.
- Execute sourcing work to identify, competitively bid, lead our business partners through the selection process, and contract with new suppliers to address risk.
- Establish supply contracts for existing suppliers where a contract will improve our risk profile or deliver more value.
- Participate and respond to supplier audits.
- Manage projects to address specific vendor / product issues.
- Plan, forecast, and purchase raw materials for respective supplier relationships
- Procurement Excellence:
- Responsible for risk analysis, supplier relations, contracts, negotiations, and supplier approvals.
- Assist with moving Indy API manufacturing procurement toward and environment of MRP, data analysis, metric response, and data-based problem solving.
- Ensure compliance with Lilly procurement and financial policies and procedures, and regulatory commitments.
- Generate and communicate OSSCE metrics, monthly purchasing data, and reports as required.
- Seek out and implement quality, reliability, efficiency, and cost savings projects with suppliers. Consolidate and present captured and forecasted site savings, in alignment with Global Procurement methodology.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, chemistry, or similar field.
- At minimum 1 year experience in procurement-related role.
- Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization and/or visas for this role.
Additional Preferences:
- Experience in supply chain, manufacturing, and procurement.
- Proven skills in negotiating and drafting contracts.
- Autonomous worker with prioritization and productive abilities.
- Independent decision-making skills with influence over diverse organizations.
- Proficient in PC/IT and Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong teamwork, presentation, and relationship skills.
- Previous SAP and/or Ariba experience.

- Must complete Learning Plan for Associate - Mfg Site Procurement.
- No certifications required.
