About The Role:

As a CBRE Operational, Risk and Compliance Manager, you play a crucial role in understanding business processes, assessing risks to business objectives, evaluating control effectiveness, and documenting audit projects.

In this role, you will work closely with internal partners to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, ensuring operating procedures are followed consistently and efficiently. You will partner with Property Management on their adherence to Global Standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best standards/practices while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

What You'll Do:

  • Administer the Environments for Excellence program (internal compliance program) by prioritizing, scheduling and conducting in-person and desktop compliance audits.
  • Identify potential risks and areas of non-compliance and develop mitigation plans.
  • Report audit outcomes and work with local/regional management to improve operational compliance, including developing resources and materials for use by the markets.
  • Refine internal processes and procedures based on audit findings, regulatory changes, and industry standards and ensure they are well-defined and easily understood with our Global Standards
  • Continuously assess and improve standards and practices. Identify improvement opportunities, working alongside Property Management Operations Team (both in-market and Business Operations) to refine and implement standard processes and ensure engagement and compliance.
  • Develop training materials and conduct training based on the needs of field staff throughout the region and/or client account. Use web and classroom training resources. Ensure completion of defined curriculum for each job within standard time frames.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance processes are aligned across Property Management.
  • Lead and oversee monthly critical metric Reporting and Global Standards governance, ensuring compliance with defined Property Management Operating Standards.
  • Coach others and share knowledge of own job field and broad knowledge of several jobs within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-10 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Real estate license preferred.
  • Strong social skills, creative and strategic thinker, self-starter and self-motivated
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broad impact on the business.
  • Experience with using Zoom for hosting and running virtual meetings and webinars is required.
  • Experience with Smartsheet for project management is preferred but not required.
  • An innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions.
  • Experienced organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mentality.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Operational, Risk and Compliance Manager position is $115,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Operational, Risk and Compliance Manager position is $125,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
