Description:

ASSYST is seeking a Software Test Manager to support our government client project based in Austin, TX. The Software Test Manager will be responsible for the development, execution, and maintenance of test scripts for both automated and manual testing of an EHR application. The ideal candidate will have experience aligning UAT test cases with business requirements, conducting stakeholder walkthroughs, and tracking test case execution and reporting.

Required experience:
  • Write and execute test cases and create test plans.
  • Manage testing processes, including test plan creation, test cases, and test data for both manual and automated testing.
  • Generate manual and automated test scripts to support business requirements.
  • Conduct testing of SAAS products and ensure adherence to software usability concepts and SDLC.
  • Execute testing across multiple EHR workflows (practice management, clinical, interface, billing).
  • Perform various types of testing: unit, integration, regression, smoke, user acceptance, system, stress, and load/performance.
  • Conduct QA automation testing using tools such as UFT (Unified Functional Testing), Katalon, Selenium, and ALM.
  • Use ALM and JIRA for test management and defect tracking.
  • Write complex SQL queries and perform database validation.
  • Create application quality metrics and track defects.
  • Conduct API testing and automation (preferred).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, IT teams, and project managers to gather requirements and ensure successful EHR implementation.
  • Mentor and train QA team members on EHR testing methodologies, data migration testing, and best practices.
  • Develop detailed test cases for various user roles within the EHR system.
  • Coordinate testing activities and data collection with internal and external customers.
  • Effectively communicate and present complex technical information, both orally and in writing.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding errors or problems with applications.
  • Preferred experience in HL7 FHIR, object-oriented programming, load/performance testing, and working in state agencies.
