The Creative Studio Manager is responsible for supervising video and photography projects, delegating projects to staff, setting priorities to meet deadlines, troubleshooting issues in our in-house studio. This position will also act as relationship manager between the Studio team, cross-functional departments, and external partners.
1. Manage the day to day operations of the Creative Studio.
2. Assign studio projects and review progress frequently to ensure work is delivered before deadlines. Update schedules as needed.
3. Confirm project needs and direction from clients and communicatee to assigned employees.
4. Communicate with all departments about the status of relevant projects.
5. Direct, lead, or assist with the creative production process as needed. Meet with team members for feedback.
6. Curate image libraries and video, art work, and branding assets. Ensure files are stored and named according to protocols.
7. Create process and procedure guides for the studio.
8. Evaluate the need to hire freelancers for special projects.
9. Assist with employment decisions on hiring, promotion, training and development, disciplinary action, terminations and pay adjustments; monitor performance by completing new hire and annual performance evaluations.
10. Collaborate with the Media Content team to develop story ideas and tell compelling visual stories.
11. Perform other duties as required within the nature and level of work.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field and five (5) years of related experience are required. Must be proficient in Final Cut Pro X or Adobe Premiere CC with the ability to apply after effects, titling, motion graphics, and captioning. Experience working with branding, technology, marketing, or digital content channels is preferred. Must be able to operate audio, camera, and grip equipment for maintenance, capturing content and updates. Familiarity with front to back HD camera workflow is preferred. Ability to export in various formats to support Instagram, Facebook, and other social media platforms. Ability to transport, lift, and carry gear to and from shoots. Must be willing and able to travel up to 3 days per month.
Ability to take direction from multiple stakeholders and execute accordingly and autonomously. Must have planning and organizational skills to facilitate projects and solutions on time and within budget. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written with employees across all levels within the company.
Physical Demand Requirements
Occasionally required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Travel Requirements
10% (3 days per month)
This role has an annual salary range of $105,000-$115,000.
