Job Summary
The College of Dentistry is seeking a proactive and strategic leader for the role of Assistant Dean for Finance & Administration. Reporting directly to the Dean, this key position will oversee and lead the financial services office, driving innovation, enhancing financial processing, and reporting systems. As a vital member of the Dean's leadership team, the Assistant Dean will provide expertise in strategic planning and budgeting, ensuring the efficient use and maximization of college resources.
Responsibilities include managing financial operations, supervising administrative functions, and providing oversight of college administration and facilities. This role is instrumental in fostering collaboration and guiding strategic decision-making to align resources with the college's mission and goals. Additionally, the Assistant Dean will serve as the Grievance Officer for Phase One grievances within the College of Dentistry, ensuring a fair, transparent, and consistent grievance process for the college community.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and innovative leader with a commitment to excellence in financial management, organizational effectiveness, and collaborative leadership.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
All Microsoft Office products, Query reporting with products such as tableau, financial modeling including sensitivity analyses, experience in developing, monitoring, and ensuring a strong environment of internal controls.

Preferred Education/Experience
Preferably an MBA or equivalent. Experience at and executive level leading large scale
process change and implementation at a University, non-profit, or large organization is preferred.
