The Opportunity: Working within the Primary health care team, the Occupational Therapist will manage a caseload of clients providing assessment, consultation and programing for patients and caregivers. The OT will be a key part of the patient's circle of care and will work within a full scope of practice. The OT will work with clients across the lifespan (pediatric to geriatric) and will provide care in the clinical setting as well as in the communities providing home assessments and interventions within patient's homes.

Wage Range: The target hiring range for this position is $46.6909 to $60.4660 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants' role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.

- Practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the College of Occupation Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC) as well as within a client centered care model.
- Educates and counsels family members and caregivers regarding the impact of disability, injury or disease on the individual and their role in the treatment and recovery process.
- Evaluates factors that affect activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), leisure and social participation. Considers client factors including body function & body structure, habits and behaviour patterns, cultural and spiritual context as well as communication skills.

What You Will Bring to The Role:
- Master's Degree (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy or Rehabilitation Medicine.
- Registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, or experience may be considered.
