We're hiring a Regional Business Development Lead - West to drive new business, lead a remote team, and serve as a trusted face of SSC throughout one of our most diverse and opportunity-rich regions.

Territory You'll Cover

WA, OR, ID, MT, WY, UT, CO, NM, NV, CA, AZ, KS, OK, AR, North TX, South TX, LA, ND, SD, NE, MN, IA, WI, IL, MI

What You'll Lead
  • Lead and coach Business Development Representatives with structure and support.
  • Maintain a personal book of accounts focused on key and strategic customers.
  • Drive growth in complex segments including plate forming, large-scale fabrication, and project supply chains.
  • Conduct 1:1 development and territory-level pipeline reviews.
  • Unify messaging and brand standards across a diverse region.
  • Partner with Inside Sales and Operations to ensure smooth execution and service.
  • Travel the region to meet customers, support reps, and stay close to the action.

What You Bring to the Role
  • 5+ years of industrial sales or business development (steel, fabrication, construction supply, or manufacturing).
  • Prior experience mentoring or managing a sales team.
  • Regional travel experience across large geographies-you're comfortable operating independently.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and strategic planning skills.
  • CRM fluency (Salesforce or similar).
  • A competitive drive and people-first mentality.

Extra Credit If You've Got:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Marketing.
  • Familiarity with markets like wind tower production, utility-scale infrastructure, or Western energy sectors.
  • Sales experience in multi-brand or decentralized company structures.
  • Experience operating in high-autonomy roles with executive visibility.
