What is the opportunity?

The Corporate Treasury Regional Liquidity Management - Canada Region provides measurement, reporting and analysis of RBC's internal liquidity risk metrics. The Manager, Liquidity Measurement would be responsible for timely and accurate production of liquidity metrics, as well as conducting ongoing analysis and forecasting of liquidity positions to aid the management of RBC's liquidity risk. This role functions in a fast paced, high profile risk area with time sensitive daily deliverables.

What you will do?
  • Produce daily/monthly/quarterly liquidity reports for Domestic businesses, as well as global derivatives products.
  • Perform decomposition and analysis of liquidity positions.
  • Collaborate with front and back office and technology to effect best reporting and explanations of liquidity positions.
  • Build and conduct liquidity analysis and data integrity controls to effect accurate liquidity measurement.
  • Create new analytic capabilities and enhance existing ones to meet the evolving demands of liquidity management.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing and systems development initiatives with IT partners.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on the liquidity treatment of new products and assess the impacts on liquidity positions.
  • Engage in cross-functional and cross-regional projects.


What you need to succeed?

Must Have
  • Undergraduate degree in commerce/finance
  • 2 years+ experience with financial and/or regulatory reporting in financial institutions
  • Strong understanding of bank balance sheets and products
  • Understanding of capital markets instruments and operational processes including cash management and settlements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented, thorough and conscientious
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment under tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


Nice to Have
  • CFA, CPA, Masters in Finance
  • Knowledge of risk management tools and techniques
  • Programming skills in VBA Excel and SQL knowledge
