JLL is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lighting Automation Specialist with specific expertise in Enlighted smart building technology. This role will be responsible for the installation, programming, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of our intelligent lighting systems, primarily leveraging the Enlighted platform. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of lighting control systems, electrical systems, and networking, with a proven track record of successfully managing and maintaining Enlighted deployments. You will play a key role in enhancing energy efficiency, customer satisfaction, and ensuring the reliable operation of our lighting infrastructure.

JLL is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lighting Automation Specialist with specific expertise in Enlighted smart building technology. This role will be responsible for the installation, programming, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of our intelligent lighting systems, primarily leveraging the Enlighted platform. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of lighting control systems, electrical systems, and networking, with a proven track record of successfully managing and maintaining Enlighted deployments. You will play a key role in enhancing energy efficiency, customer satisfaction, and ensuring the reliable operation of our lighting infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary facilitator and technician for all aspects of our Enlighted lighting control systems, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
- Participate in and/or oversee the installation and commissioning of Enlighted sensors, controllers, and related equipment, ensuring adherence to specifications and best practices.
- Program and configure Enlighted lighting control strategies, schedules, and integrations based on project requirements and energy efficiency goals.
- Proactively monitor the performance of the Enlighted system, perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and identify the root cause of issues to make necessary repairs.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and identify potential risks.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to the Enlighted system, including network connectivity, sensor malfunctions, and software glitches.
- Provide training and support to facilities staff and building occupants on the operation and benefits of the Enlighted lighting system.
- Assist in the development of preventive maintenance programs for electrical systems to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
- Stay updated on advances in electrical technologies, codes, and regulations to ensure compliance and make recommendations for improvements.
- Respond promptly to emergency electrical issues outside of regular working hours when required.
- Provide timely updates to work orders for client transparency.
- Manage and maintain work order queue to ensure on-time completion.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a lighting specialist, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Valid electrical license or certification as required by the state or local jurisdiction.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and components, including wiring, circuits, and electrical codes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve electrical issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and project plans.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and contractors.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in different environments, including confined spaces, heights, and outdoors. Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development programs.
- Proficiency in network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, Ethernet) and IT infrastructure relevant to building automation systems.
- Familiarity with other building automation systems (BAS) and integration protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus) is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Lighting Controls Professional (CLCP), network certifications) are a plus.
