Job Summary and Qualifications
Job Summary:
The Manager of Program Development, Complex Surgical Programs collaborates with the Clinical Programs Director of Oncology and the Complex Surgical Program Manager to organize, direct, and oversee strategic oncology initiatives that align with Sarah Cannon's mission, vision, and goals. This role involves developing and implementing integrated disease site-specific oncology programs, processes, and toolkits across the enterprise, partnering with market and division leadership to ensure effective delivery. The Cancer Program Lead drives organizational change through structured implementation, metric measurement, and outcomes reporting to ensure program sustainability and success. With a focus on collaboration and data-driven decision-making, the Cancer Program Lead ensures measurable improvements in oncology program performance while fostering alignment across the enterprise.

Responsibilities:
Program Development and Strategic Planning
- Collaborates with Sarah Cannon Executive Leadership, HCA market physicians, and the SCCN team to develop and optimize programmatic solutions for the Network.
- Works with the SCCN team to advance new solid tumor program development.
- Designs and evaluates programs and initiatives that align with Sarah Cannon's strategic plans.
- Conducts strategic planning and market/facility analyses to identify growth opportunities and develop business cases.
- Develops pilots, evaluates, and incorporates innovative models of practice across the continuum of care in collaboration with the Sarah Cannon team.
- Creates and/or coordinates functionality requirements for workflows to support program goals.
Data Analytics and Reporting
- Along side SCCN leaders, establishes programmatic quality, impact, and productivity metrics and ensures actionable data analytics are available for stakeholders.
- Collect and utilize metrics and analytics to validate progress and measure program success.
- Monitors data and success measures to evaluate user adoption of current and newly implemented programs.
- Conducts data analysis to develop programmatic recommendations to grow the solid tumor footprint across the enterprise.
- Develops reports to evaluate program success, including volume, quality, and value added, and creates a toolkit for training on reporting options.
- Supports the development of analytical solutions to assess market opportunities for hospitals and healthcare systems.
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
- Establishes routine communication with SCCN program leadership, program physicians, and administrative teams to implement best practices.
- Communicates, represents, and influences program physicians and administrative teams in adopting best practices.
- Facilitates collaborative interactions with clinical support teams for network awareness-building, education and training, and best practice discussions.
- Facilitates focus groups or meets with the steering committee and advisory board as needed following established methodologies.
- Develops a communication plan and standard reports for SCCN leadership and program leadership teams.
- Partners with subject matter experts and the client service team to deliver high-quality, timely responses to members/clients through written materials, presentations, and over the phone.
Project Management and Execution
- Plans, coordinates, and executes projects across the SCCN to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with other disciplines and departments to drive successful project outcomes.
- Executes and summarizes analyses to use data to "tell the story" in client-ready presentations and materials.
Critical Thinking and Leadership
- Synthesizes and translates research and analytical results into clear and compelling recommendations.
- Demonstrates critical and creative thinking to make interpretations when available information is insufficient and takes the initiative to share perspectives for alternative approaches.
- Collaborates with team members to develop and deliver original thought leadership, strategic recommendations, and tactical advice.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Project Management
- Oncology or specialty clinical knowledge
- Must have strong editing skills and be detail oriented
- Must have ability to foster effective working relationships within a team environment
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to work on several projects at one time and maintain organization and follow through
- Program development and hospital operations experience
- Must have ability to foster effective working relationships within a team environment

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree Required, Master's Degree Preferred
- 3+ years of relevant experience required
- Proven delivery of clinical initiatives
- Hospital and/or multi-facility management experience preferred.
- Experience in business development preferred.
- 2-4 years' experience in clinical setting preferred.
