Position
Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) is currently accepting applications for a Senior Scientistposition. Applications will be screened after the following filing deadlines at 5PM:

The Senior Scientist class is the first level management class in the Scientist series. Incumbents in this class are expected to work under minimal management supervision and instruction, and to exercise considerable independent judgment and initiative while supervising and coordinating the work of professional staff performing tasks related to SacSewers Scientific Research Section.
Minimum Qualifications:
Either: 1. A master's degree from an accredited college or university in environmental science, environmental toxicology, biology, chemistry, ecology, limnology, engineering, or other natural or physical science related to the intent of the class.

AND
Six years of full-time, paid experience conducting, assessing, planning, and managing scientific investigations in one or more of the following areas: ecosystems, anthropogenic impacts on ecosystems, and wastewater treatment processes.
Or: 2. A Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in environmental science, environmental toxicology, biology, chemistry, ecology, limnology, engineering, or other natural or physical science related to the intent of the class.
AND

Four years of full-time, paid experience conducting, assessing, planning, and managing scientific investigations in one or more of the following areas: ecosystems, anthropogenic impacts on ecosystems, and wastewater processes.
