Senior Director - Program Lead- Quality Digital Labs Transformation

Come help us transform Lilly's Analytical landscape with LEADS (Lab Excellence - Accelerate, Digitize, Standardize)!

We have initiated a multi-year Quality Digital Labs transformation program that will simplify and implement a Digital Lab agenda at Lilly called LEADS (Lab Excellence - Accelerate, Digitize, Standardize). This is part of a broader set of enterprise-wide programs focused on enabling outstanding company growth and the delivery of new modalities serving patients around the world.

As part of the LEADS project, we are hiring the following positions:

Sr. Director Program Leader LEADS, AQCO (Analytical Sciences & QC Operations)
  • Develop and deliver the Global Digital Lab program, coordinating with Lab Information Management and Lab Execution programs.
  • Lead governance of Digital Quality labs, digitalize labs, and enable new technologies.
  • Partner with peer leaders within QC and Tech@Lilly to deliver MQ digital transformation programs and mentor the program team.


Sr. Director Global QC Operations - API and Dry Products Network Lead

Sr. Director Global QC Operations - Parenteral and Device Products Network Lead
  • Implement LEADS initiatives across QC Laboratories, focusing on method management, equipment maintenance, sample management, and more.
  • Partner with sites in the Parenteral and Device or API & Dry Products manufacturing network to communicate global plans, develop schedules, track progress, and remove hurdles.
  • Facilitate feedback from sites to the project teams and share progress in cross-functional forums.

What you Should Bring
  • Experience in Quality Digital lab processes, Lab Data Integration, Lab technology Standardization, Quality lab automation and QC Operations.
  • Understanding of Data Analytics and Automated Data analysis, Sample Management and tracking, method development and standardization etc.
  • Strong knowledge of Operational Excellence and application of lean principles
  • Extensive knowledge of GMP and other pharmaceutical industry regulations and standards.
  • Experience with following systems would be preferred but not required:
    • Labvantage LIMS and LES, NuGenesis, EMPOWER, BINOCS, TULIP, LEAN Operations


Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in science, engineering, computer science, Information Technology or related technical field.
  • Significant experience in the pharmaceutical industry including leadership, program management, and driving quality or manufacturing strategic improvements and promoting team growth.
  • In-depth knowledge of the regulatory environment for the manufacture of pharmaceutical products.

  • Ability to prioritize and lead intricate projects, be a change agent who can drive innovation and operational excellence while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of AI and informatics within a laboratory setting.
  • Passion for working on a team from a diverse group of backgrounds and geographies.
  • Developed skills with key applications for Program Management (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, Visio, etc.)
  • Demonstrate a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities instrumental in shaping the future of QC laboratories.


These positions may require travel to domestic and international destinations.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$151,500 - $222,200

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
