Description:
We are looking for a high caliber and tested Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to drive analytics with high exposure to VP and SVP level business decision making support. In this role you will define scalable processes and deep dive into the product and program metrics globally across multiple business units. You will apply both business and technical acumen in a fast-paced, ambiguous and innovative environment. Our ideal teammate possesses a natural curiosity, sharp analytical skills.
Key job responsibilities
Write complex SQL code that extracts actionable insights from some of the world's largest datasets
Dive deep to help drive key business decisions through data insights and improve a wide range of internal products
Own the design and development of automated solutions for recurrent reporting and in-depth analyses including learning, publishing, and managing our operational business metrics decks
Drive continuous improvement of our analytical processes by automating, scaling, and simplifying self-service support for our customers
Invent new ways to explore our data and work with Product Managers to identify opportunities and transform business problems into defined data and reporting requirements
Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
