Summary

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a faculty member to provide leadership and oversight of the Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine Stepped Care (TCHATT-SC) and TCHATT-Anxiety Initiatives. These programs, funded by the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium (TCMHCC), aim to deliver efficient, effective school-based telehealth therapy across Texas.

  • Oversee the implementation of the TCHATT-SC and TCHATT-Anxiety Initiatives, including maintaining partnerships with other Texas institutions to deliver stepped care models.
  • Supervise training in evidence-based therapies utilized within the initiatives.
  • Establish and lead a measurement-based care approach across all participating sites.
  • Coordinate with TCHATT leadership to ensure consistency in assessment and treatment delivery.
  • Conduct and produce quality improvement analyses to enhance program outcomes.
  • Liaise with TCMHCC leadership, providing regular updates and strategic recommendations.
  • Provide clinical supervision within TCMHCC projects and the Department of Psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine.
  • Engage in clinical psychology research initiatives and educational activities within the department.
  • Disseminate findings from clinical research and quality improvement projects through presentations, community outreach, and collaboration with advocacy organizations.
  • Publish research articles annually as both first and co-author.
  • Provide training to clinicians and staff on therapeutic procedures, manuals, and experimental tasks.
  • Supervise and mentor learners, offering structured feedback, evaluation, and career development support.
  • Teach and mentor through a variety of methods, including lectures, workshops, and seminars.
  • Collaborate with departmental educational leadership to provide learner updates and participate in mission-driven educational initiatives.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
  • Licensed or license eligible as a Psychologist in the state of Texas.
  • Experience in school-based mental health services, telehealth delivery models, and evidence-based therapy.
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical supervision, research dissemination, and learner mentorship.
  • Strong commitment to academic collaboration, quality improvement, and community engagement.
