Job Description

The Facilities Services Director is responsible for operation and maintenance of the physical plant, equipment and property. Ensures proper maintenance of building. Provides direction to the Plant Operations, Custodial Services, Security and Biomedical Engineering of the Health System. Functions as Safety Officer for the Health System.

Responsibilities
Actively promotes the organization maintaining high visibility within the organization and the community., Communicates regularly with other Health System personnel affected by facilities or grounds projects to ensure smooth operation of activities during maintenance of electrical systems, medical gases, utilities, heating and cooling systems, etc., Consults with architects and engineers in the design and/or renovation of buildings regarding staffing utilization, scheduling, equipment and material availability, as well as to assess impact on existing facility and capacity to support additions or alterations., Develops competencies based continuing education programs in collaboration with the Training & Development function., Ensures that facilities, property, and grounds are in compliance with life safety and other accreditation standards. Ensures adherence to all state, federal, and other governing agency standards, codes and regulations, and that all appropriate licenses, permits and certificates are obtained., Leader-Coach:

Responds to appropriate requests and initiatives from Vice Presidents, other Directors and Managers, physicians, and staff to improve services., Management-Responsible for development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental policies, procedures, protocols and standards to maintain a high quality level of service. , Management-Seeks opportunities to more fully incorporate staff into daily operations., Participates in the safety management program for the Health Center as Safety Office. Engages in cross-functional management of Environment of Care plans. Submits reports upon request and completes follow-up actions as required., Provides fact-based recommendations toward the development and implementation of departmental goals and objectives, which support the strategic plan. Facilitates the Health System vision by implementing current and future strategies in a manner consistent with the values of the organization and the communities it serves., Provides oversight for the Environmental Services and Plant Operations Departments of the Health Center, and their related sections of Security, Maintenance and Construction, Energy, and Biomedical Services.

$109,408.00 - $169,582.40
Pay based on experience

Eligible for participation in Management Incentive Compensation Program.
