• Proven experience in a Human Resources Manager or senior HR Generalist role (5+ years preferred)
• Professional HR certification strongly preferred (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR)
• In-depth knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance standards
• Direct experience processing certified payroll for construction projects, including compliance with Davis-Bacon and prevailing wage requirements
• trong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated leadership in developing and implementing HR strategies that support business objectives
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
• Proficient Microsoft Office Suite

salary: $75,000 - $100,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR advisor to leadership, providing strategic guidance on workforce planning, organizational development, and employee relations.
• Ensure company-wide compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; maintain and audit employee records and documentation.
• Develop, implement, and consistently communicate HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are followed across all departments.
• Oversee full-cycle payroll processing-including certified payroll-ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and legal compliance.
• Administer employee benefits programs, manage open enrollment, educate employees, and resolve benefit-related issues.
• Partner with department leaders to drive recruitment efforts, including job postings, screening candidates, and working with third-party recruiters.
• Support a strong employee experience through onboarding, training, engagement initiatives, and performance management.
• Handle complex employee relations matters, ensuring resolution aligns with company values, fairness, and legal standards.
• Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster a respectful and inclusive workplace culture.
• Continuously assess and enhance HR processes and systems to improve efficiency and support company goals.
