The Partner Business Development Manager (BDM) drives business growth by generating pipeline, accelerating solution selling, and developing strategies to increase revenue and improve customer and coworker experiences with partners at CDW.
Serving as a partner SME and a triple-facing asset, the BDM articulates the value of CDW's partnerships and capabilities to customers, CDW, and partner teams. By leveraging expertise in vendor partnerships, sales, and technical domains, the BDM breaks down silos and orchestrates collaboration between marketing, sales, solutions, and PPM teams to accelerate partner growth.
At its core, this business development role requires demonstrated success in designing growth strategy, building pipelines, and achieving revenue goals through sales campaigns and solutions teams' engagement. It demands advanced sales acumen, expertise in channel processes, data center technical understanding, and a strong drive for innovation.

Target total compensation (base+ bonuses): $120,000- $130,000 annually
Pay range: $ 60,000- $ 70,000, depending on experience and skill set
Annual bonus target of $60,000 subject to terms and conditions of plan

What you will do:
- Attain Sales Quota: Maintain pipeline and achieve quarterly and annual sales quota aligned to partner growth targets at CDW.
- Develop the Growth Engine: Research and identify potential clients, markets, and partnerships to drive growth and engage with potential leads. Lead and manage sales campaigns with sellers and SAs to drive seller participation, new customer acquisition and existing customer expansion.
- Support and Co-ordinate with Sales teams to:
- Articulate partnership value for CDW and partners.
- Support the entire sales lifecycle including assisting with customer presales discussions and selling tools, providing pricing guidance to sales on quotes and orders, analyzing quotes to make upsell and cross sell recommendations, and promoting CDW badged services capabilities to accompany partner solutions.
- Work with Sales Managers with seller's book of business sales strategy, regional events, and customer sales calls to help in closing CDW businesses with partner's solutions.
- Support and Co-ordinate with Solution Architect teams to:
- Connect SAs with partner technical resources and tools while providing insights on upselling opportunities and CDW badged services to accompany partner solutions.
- Collect feedback and insight for partner solutions to share with partner teams.
- Lead enablement and campaigns that drive revenue through technical solution selling.
- Host and Lead Partner Events: Support planning and present CDW and partner value proposition at customer, partner and CDW events. (some travel may be required)
- Obtain Relevant Sales and Technical Certifications: Complete partner sales and technical certifications to enhance your role as a customer facing technical seller. Remain informed about new products, licensing, and partner programs.
- Act as the Liaison Between the Partner(s) Organization and CDW Teams: Foster partner relationships and collaboration with sales, SAs, and other roles within CDW to deliver optimal solutions and experience for customers. Be the conduit for disseminating information on the portfolio/program to CDW sales and SA teams (as well as other stakeholders) regarding promos, spiffs, portfolio updates and releases, webinars, etc.
What you'll need:
- 5+ years' experience in IT sales, field sales, technical presales, VAR or partner management with responsibility to achieve monthly & quarterly revenue and growth targets.
- Bachelor's degree, college Diploma or relevant work experience in IT sales technical position or solutions partner management.
- High Proficiency with Microsoft Office: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. Familiarity with Power BI tool is a plus
- Technical aptitude for partner's solutions along with a solid understanding of cloud and data center solutions.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), presentation skills, and effective interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to perform and learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong business acumen with a "hunter" mentality.
- Aptitude to work with Executive and C-Level contacts within CDW, Partner and Customers.
- Must be a self-starter and able to meet and exceed expectations with limited supervision.
- Ability to build and present technical complex concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to keep track of tasks and present team updates for activities delivered
