The role you'll contribute:

The Senior Manager, Strategy and Operations will provide strategic and operations leadership to a team of program managers and program support for the Executive Offices Department. The core responsibility is to ensure the successful execution of strategic programs and initiatives by ensuring smooth and effective workflows and meeting established deadlines. They also serve as a point of contact for cross functional strategic plans; manage relationships and expectations with cross functional teams. The Senior Manager, Strategy and Operations reports directly to the Director and leads and facilitates program teams in collaboration with multiple internal and external leaders. Oversees the development of department strategic plans, team supervision and program management to ensure performance consistency with department goals, objectives, outcomes, measurements, and metrics to further advance initiatives. Supports and works directly with the Director to develop operational processes and actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

  • Scope of Responsibility: * Develops and implements operational and operational implementation plans to support the CEO and the senior leadership team. * Facilitates strategic plan development, implementation, and deployment of projects. * Plans and develops agenda for key CEO meetings (e.g. Cabinet, Council, Retreats, etc.) by collaborating with members of Leadership and the CEO to synthesize and prioritize agenda items. * Contributes research and data analytics as the senior leadership team reviews and provides input on strategies and innovations - leads projects under the direction of the Director, Strategic Programs or a member or members of the Cabinet executive team. * Tracks all commitments and project task work that are made during executive leadership meetings or project meetings and provides progress reports and updates to the CEO and key Cabinet Leaders. * Oversees the preparation of written briefs on decisions for the CEO and Cabinet including analyzing the pros and cons of options and business impact (cost, profits, people, culture). * Collaborates with senior leaders on the development of proposals that will meet the CEO's expectations and standards. * Serves as a conduit of information and communication from the office of the CEO to senior leaders and departments. Develops communication strategies for major initiatives and serves as the communications project leader when the message is from the CEO office. * Collaborates with the respective senior leader(s) within the Central Florida Division to align and integrate systems; and structures to drive performance; and enhance the AdventHealth Culture. * Operating Plans: * Supports the CEO in completion of critical projects including budgets, talent reviews, presentations to the governance boards, and AdventHealth Corporate assignments.
  • Strategic Planning: * Collaborates with CEO, Chief Strategy Officer, and Director of Strategic Programs to execute the annual planning process resulting in the creation of the annual Business Plan. * Integrates strategy developed by Management System work into operations and organizational processes; serves as the project leader in preparation of major management meetings including leadership team meetings, and other major strategy/communications events. * Leads project teams that develop strategies and business plans for new or emerging initiatives under the leadership of the CEO or an executive sponsor.
  • Performance Improvement: * Works with multiple operational areas/teams as a performance improvement/excellence advisor as well as drives specific initiatives across the organization as needed.


Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in Business Administration, Healthcare, Project Management or Project Management or related field Required
  • 6+ of project management, communications, process management, business operations, consulting, or management experience Required
  • Demonstrated leadership, personal influence, and people management skills
  • Excellent judgment, analytical and interpersonal skills, and written, presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral, to various internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to interact and tailor messages to audiences at all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to focus detailed and concentrated effort on multiple projects and re-establish priorities as necessary
  • Ability to assess and organize processes, procedures, and company resources.
  • Ability to manage their time efficiently with experience and capacity to handle multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to effectively respond to time sensitive issues and meet deadlines
  • Initiative and ability to work independently (self-direction) while thriving in a setting requiring collaboration and teamwork for maximal efficiency and effectiveness
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals
  • Show flexibility and comfort with ambiguity, varying priorities, and creating structure
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships, diplomatically negotiate common approach, and work collaboratively and individually to achieve stated goals
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and Office 365 - Especially in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and SharePoint
  • Microsoft Project or other Project Management software tool expertise
  • Portfolio Management Professional (PMP) Preferred
