With eight golf facilities, Denver Golf, part of the City and County of Denver's Department of Parks and Recreation, has something for everyone! Denver Golf's diverse portfolio includes one 27-hole regulation golf course, four 18-hole regulation golf courses, one 18-hole mountain golf course, two 9-hole par three golf courses, two Miniature Golf facilities, five driving ranges (including the signature Aqua Golf water range), six Restaurants, and Denver Junior Golf - The First Tee of Denver (one of the largest Junior Golf programs in the country). Denver Golf is looking to hire a Head Golf Professional to join their team at Willis Case Golf Course. Located just seven minutes north of downtown Denver and situated along I-70, Willis Case Golf Course is a beautiful course with panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains and challenges at every turn. Willis Case has served Denver golfers since 1934 with a meticulously manicured 18-hole regulation course, striking landscaping, free-to-all 4-hole junior course, and fully stocked clubhouse. The Head Golf Professional will perform supervisory responsibilities and conduct full-performance golf professional work; devise, coordinate, and promote daily play and tournament activities, provide golf lessons, and direct the operations of the golf pro shop and golf cart fleet.
Specifically, as a Head Golf Professional you will:
Manage all operations of the pro shop and golf cart fleet
Work with Golf Course Superintendent to coordinate daily play, tournament, and other golf activities, to balance play and conditioning to appropriate levels; to provide maximum service and enhance revenue
Oversee all retail aspects of the pro shop including monitoring inventory levels, and seasonal orders for all apparel and accessories
Assist with development of departmental budget, and conduct general accounting duties
Enforce golf course rules and regulations, and maintain USGA standards and policies
Develop performance evaluation program for functions within the unit; monitors and documents employee performance, provides ongoing feedback regarding levels of performance, and formally evaluates employees in relation to goals
Design and implement pace of play initiatives as well as tournament programs to increase course revenue and enhance guest satisfaction
Respond to guest concerns in a professional manner, and ensure staff maintain and exceed our top-notch guest service standards

- Experience managing golf tournaments and all aspects of a golf retail operation
- Experience managing and influencing a high volume of employees
- Experience as a Head Golf Professional
- Experience using EZLinks Point of Sale and Teesheet (experience on other electronic tee sheet and Point of Sale applications will be considered)
- Superior attention to detail and organization skills
- Basic understanding of accounting and budgeting
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Process oriented and logical thinking skills
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Education Requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
- Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of experience as a golf professional or assistant golf professional operating in a high volume golf facility.
- Education and Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
- License/Certification Requirement: Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application. Requires certification as a class "A" PGA or LPGA member in good standing.
Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.
