Director of Nursing

Vera French is looking for a Director of Nursing (DON) to join our team! As the DON, you will oversee all nursing services and personnel for the Residential and Outreach programs including Sheridan Springs, Pine Meadows, Carol Center and Supported Community Living programs. This position directly supervises the nursing and direct support staff at our Residential facilities and reports to the Residential Care Facilities Administrator.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Direct operations of the nursing department and manage nursing staff.
• Develop policies and procedures related to nursing services, incorporating professional standards and applicable rules and regulations.
• Work to ensure compliance with Medicaid rules and regulations related to implementation and documentation of services.
• Develop and implement effective ongoing programs to measure, assess and improve quality of nursing care, treatment and services delivered to clients.
• Coordinate operations of the nursing department with other departments and agencies.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master's preferred
• Must be a RN licensed in the State of Iowa with a valid CPR certification
• Graduate study and/or five years of experience in psychiatric nursing and 3 years of administrative experience and/or training preferred

motor vehicle records, criminal records, and credit history through an investigative or credit agency or bureau of your choice. I
authorize the release of this information by the appropriate agencies to the investigating service. I authorize and give permission for
the individuals listed as references to provide written information and/or verbally discuss my background with Vera French
Community Mental Health Center, or any of its affiliates.

This authorization, in original or copy form, shall be valid for this and any future reports and updates that may be required.
