First Eagle is seeking an Investment Solutions and Analytics Analyst to join the New York team. This person will provide analysis and insights to support the effective positioning of products and growth of our platform.
What you will do:
- Enhance and automate portfolio analytics and market research models through creative application of third-party software and all other internal/external resources
- Handle ad-hoc portfolio analytics requests from institutional and retail sales, as well as ad-hoc requests from executive office and investment teams
- Partner with marketing and compliance to achieve consistent branding and stylization of all client-facing reporting and papers
- Partner with analytics/market data vendors to update and enhance our team's knowledge of software programs and functionalities available to us
- Analyze historical and on-going performance of First Eagle's products, as well as those of key competitors and benchmarks, to generate insights that help effectively position products for sales and client service teams as well as for feedback to senior management with respect to investment and product strategy
- Gather, organize, and synthesize data to support strategy formulation and business planning
The qualities you should have:
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Computer Science, Economics, or related field
- 4 - 8 years of relevant finance industry experience; working in an analytics-related role within the asset management industry a plus
- Mastery of FactSet and ability/desire to learn other market data/analytics software (Morningstar, MPI Stylus, eVestment, Bloomberg)
- Experience and interest in data science, data analysis, financial markets, portfolio construction and management (capabilities in VBA, Python, R and/or Matlab a plus)
- Outstanding analytical, problem-solving and reporting skills required
- Aptitude for framing business questions in analytic terms and translating business requirements into helpful datasets, analyses, and reports
- Effective, clear, and concise communication skills, verbal and written
- Proactive and self-motivated "can do" attitude
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
