The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services team

Brief Description of Department

This is a great opportunity for an experienced and strong accounting leader to join the Enterprise Services (ES) Accounting & Compliance organization as a Manager over Payroll/Labor Accounting for the Raytheon business units. This role will lead a broad set of financial responsibilities including assisting in the month end close process, management reporting, and audits.

What You Will do:
  • Oversee Payroll Accounting process including:
    • Manage the monthly financial close
    • Preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis
    • Mapping of payroll files into Enterprise-wide SAP instances
    • Required Government reporting and Government Audit oversight
    • Labor Accounting for the Raytheon business units
    • Participate in strategic financial projects including upgrades and implementation of ERP software
  • Drive initiatives that improve operational effectiveness and efficiency while complying with our internal control framework.
  • Focus on process improvement and alignment across Strategic Business Units (SBU's) to drive accuracy and efficiency
  • Cultivate a culture focused on controls and compliance with US GAAP, RTX Policy and U.S. government cost accounting standards (CAS).
  • Lead and/or participate in critical projects, collaborating with Payroll Operations, Payroll Tax, HR, Benefits Finance, 3rd party vendors, Digital Technology, Internal Controls and the SBU's.
  • Present to senior leadership in various forums and meetings


Qualifications You Must Have:
  • This role typically requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field and at least 8 years' experience gained in a large corporate/public accounting / private industry setting with at least 3 years of management experience or a master's degree and 5 years relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years' experience in and knowledge of current corporate payroll and labor accounting practice including controls and compliance with US GAAP, and U.S. government cost accounting standards (CAS
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements
  • At least 5 years' experience with enterprise finance software SAP and Blackline

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications including Excell

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
