As a Senior Engineering Manager at Brightway, you will...
- Own project outcome from planning to delivery, ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions using the latest technologies.
- Guide and mentor engineering teams through code reviews, technical discussions, and best practices to maintain high standards.
- Manage and support remote and/or in-office team members, fostering strong collaboration across distributed teams.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, User Experience, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful outcomes for the business.
- Present ideas and strategies directly to executive leadership, driving meaningful business impact.
- Work with other engineering leaders to define and implement the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap of a growing company.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Provide meaningful feedback to support the growth of team members.
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience managing technical teams, with a strong track record of delivering successful software projects using a combination of on-shore and off-shore team members.
- Expertise in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, or C#. Expertise in Agile methodologies. Strong experience in either Azure or AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices architecture.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills-you can translate complex technical topics for both engineers and executives.
- A high-energy, results-driven mindset with the ability to inspire and engage teams.
- Ability to adapt to change, with experience navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in an iterative environment.
- Experience in the insurance or financial industry is a plus.
