Director of Sales Job Location: Remote/Southeast (Frequent Travel - 50-75%)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales to lead and develop a team of Area Sales Managers (ASMs) across the South, Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeast regions. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by fostering strong relationships with distributors and builders, identifying new business opportunities, and executing strategic sales plans. The role requires frequent travel (50-75%) across the assigned territory.

Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Area Sales Managers to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Develop and implement performance metrics, goals, and incentives to drive team success.
- Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one check-ins to provide guidance and feedback.
Strategic Sales Growth:
- Create and execute sales strategies to grow revenue and market share within the assigned regions.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, including expanding product lines and entering new markets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, operations, and customer service) to align sales strategies with company objectives.
Customer & Distributor Relationships:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors and builders to drive sales growth.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing solutions that meet their needs and exceed expectations.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to maximize profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Market Analysis & Reporting:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, performance reports, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- 5+ years of sales leadership experience, preferably in building products or a related industry.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and leading high-performing sales teams.
- Experience managing remote teams across multiple regions
Skills:
- Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Travel: Willingness and ability to travel 50-75% of the time across the South, Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeast regions.
