The Verily West Coast Regional Facilities Manager is responsible for developing, executing, sustaining, and operating facilities operations at Verily's Bay Area campuses located in South San Francisco, San Bruno, and Mountain View. These facilities include administrative office and laboratory spaces. This role is instrumental in operating safe, reliable, and highly maintained environments and is critical in driving a fantastic employee experience. In a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment, a successful candidate will not be afraid to get their hands dirty while also providing experienced regional facilities management leadership. Excellent communications and customer service skills are required. This role reports to the REWS Head of Facilities Management.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $121,000 - $172,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Program Management: Leverage career experiences and knowledge of industry best practices to develop and continually review facilities management policies and procedures. Participate in planning, design and construction projects, oversee new system installations, and identify opportunities for technical and procedural improvements. Be communication and coordination point of contact for various projects and incidents.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Lead a facilities team, partnering with REWS departments and stakeholders to ensure efficient workplace operations, including meeting/event setup, safety programs, and performance reviews. Customer Engagement: Maintain a program of high integrity and trust by effectively communicating and collaborating with senior managers and program leads at Verily and acting as a key business partner.
- Budget and Strategy: Develop and manage the facilities budget, contribute to a multi-year capital strategy, and identify cost-effective vendors and solutions.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Drive a proactive maintenance program, oversee repairs for various systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), and lead troubleshooting unscheduled maintenance issues, maintain Building Management System (BMS).
- Communication and Documentation: Manage work orders, ticketing, digital signage technology, and maintain documentation of vendor activities, maintenance schedules, and parts inventories. Using metrics, identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent, plus 7-10 years in Program/Facilities Management with hands-on maintenance and repair experience.
- Proven personnel management and vendor management expertise (RFP to performance tracking).
- Deep understanding of Facilities Management principles, including preventative maintenance, building systems, construction and furniture installation.
- Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities, resolve critical issues, and drive progress simultaneously.
- Proven track record of delivering solutions and achieving objectives in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in various life science laboratories (wet labs, hardware labs, machine shops) with regulatory oversight.
- Proven experience working with regulatory agencies, holding CFM, FMA, or FMP certification.
- Active membership in relevant organizations like CORENET or IFMA.
- Deep understanding of compliance requirements for life science laboratories.
