Senior-Level Network Engineer

  • At least eight (8) years of relevant experience in network systems engineering within DoD and federal environments.
  • Specialized expertise in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-scale network infrastructures, employing modern hardware, Software Defined Networking (SDN), and rigorous cybersecurity compliance.
  • At least 8 years of documented experience performing essential Systems Engineering Processes such as Requirements Tradeoffs, Cost Estimation, Technical Assessments, Technical Planning, Configuration Control Boards, Capabilities Based Assessments, Integrated Baseline Reviews, Lifecycle Sustainment Planning, Information Assurance/Cybersecurity, Requirements Traceability, Systems Engineering Plans, Work Breakdown Structures, and Technical Audits.
  • Minimum one-year documented experience designing, deploying, and maintaining network infrastructure systems adhering to DoD cybersecurity policies, including DoD 8500 series Directives, DoD 8100 series Directives, and CNSSI 1253.
  • Senior-level skills in designing, implementing, and sustaining enterprise network infrastructure using advanced hardware and software-defined networking technologies.
  • Demonstrated expertise with automation technologies for network deployment and sustainment, including monitoring and metrics tracking.
  • Practical experience with related networking technologies such as IP Address Management (IPAM), load-balancers, firewalls, proxies, and taps.
  • Intermediate or higher networking vendor certifications, including Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Juniper Junos Associate.

Location
Must be located in the Nebraska Region (within commuting distance of USSTRATCOM, Building 1000, Offutt AFB, NE) as all work will be performed on site.

Certifications

Candidates will hold recognized intermediate or higher-level certifications:

  • CCNA
  • Juniper Junos Associate or equivalent networking vendor certifications

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related engineering disciplines.


Clearance

  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearances, ready for immediate deployment to support sensitive USSTRATCOM/J61 Mission Requirements
