JOB SUMMARY
As a Senior Air Compliance Engineer at Coterra, you will work with the Business Units (BUs) and Corporate EHS Staff to ensure that Coterra complies with emission requirements of all Exploration & Production (E&P), Local, State, and Federal rules and regulations. You will assist the Manager, Air Compliance in developing an integrated, comprehensive approach to satisfy air compliance reporting in accordance with laws/regulations that would impact Coterra operations. This position is located at our Houston, Texas headquarters and does require travel to our various Coterra offices.

Work is typically performed indoors in an office environment. Incumbents must be able to perform work which includes typing, sitting, and standing. In the event that incumbent visits operations worksite, personal protection equipment, including head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and flame-resistant clothing is required. Safety rules including OSHA and DOT requirements are strictly enforced. Employees must be willing to travel and work extended hours on short notice.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of software applications for compliance, reporting, and data analysis, utilizing Spotfire Analyst Platform, Power BI, SQL scripting, and other relevant technologies.
- Support implementation of an internal air compliance tracking and reporting application by providing expertise on emissions reporting and calculation frameworks.
- Collaborate with operations teams, environmental specialists, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scopes, and translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
- Proactively maintain knowledge of current and emerging regulatory requirements and work with the various Coterra stakeholders on emissions challenges, regulatory interpretations, and advocacy efforts.
- Develop and facilitate software tools and frameworks that allow for tracking emissions compliance demonstrations, notifications and reporting per regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users on application usage, data management best practices, and environmental compliance tools.
- Identify opportunities to improve data management processes, environmental compliance workflows, and overall operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, data governance policies, and environmental standards.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience with Greenhouse Gas Reporting regulations applicable to Oil and Gas Industry.
- Experience with air emissions regulations for New Mexico, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Texas. Understanding of other air programs such as New Source Review (NSR), New Source Performance Standards (NSPS), National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP), Title V Permitting, etc.
- Experience developing and implementing processes and procedures to ensure compliance with Exploration & Production (E&P), Local, State, and Federal rules and regulations.
- Experience with asset and work management software applications.
- Proven experience in application development, with advanced proficiency in Spotfire Analyst Platform, Power BI, and SQL scripting.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and developing software applications for compliance and reporting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to effectively communicate information to a wide variety of audiences.
- Experience with generating presentation materials for various stakeholders.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering field required
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Air Compliance and emissions
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Oil and Gas Operations preferred
