We are seeking a dynamic and creative Visual Merchandising Manager to lead the development and execution of impactful merchandising strategies that drive sales, enhance customer experience, and elevate brand storytelling across all store locations. This role will be responsible for creating and implementing visual merchandising standards that bring our brand to life, highlighting the unique qualities of musical instruments and audio equipment. The Visual Merchandising Manager will also oversee the creation, management, and execution of planograms to ensure consistent, effective product placement and maximize sales potential.

Pay Rate: $95,000 - $120,000/yr depending on background and experience.
This position is eligible to participate in the Guitar Center Company bonus program based on Company performance

This role will be responsible for creating and implementing visual merchandising standards that bring our brand to life, highlighting the unique qualities of musical instruments and audio equipment. The Visual Merchandising Manager will also oversee the creation, management, and execution of planograms to ensure consistent, effective product placement and maximize sales potential.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:
- Visual Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and execute visual merchandising strategies that align with brand positioning, seasonal promotions, product launches, and business objectives.
- Create immersive, music-inspired displays that showcase instruments and gear while driving customer engagement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and store operations, to ensure cohesive in-store experience.
- Partner with the marketing team on campaign asset development for stores.
- Planogram Development & Ownership:
- Lead the development, management, and execution of detailed planograms for all product categories, ensuring consistency across all locations.
- Analyze product assortment, sales data, and customer behavior to optimize product placement and drive sales.
- Partner with merchandising and inventory teams to maintain accurate product placement, ensure in-stock positions, and address any merchandising challenges.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure planogram compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Training & Standards:
- Develop visual merchandising guidelines, tools, and training materials to support store teams.
- Conduct regular store visits to ensure compliance and provide coaching to store teams on visual standards.
- Gather feedback from store teams and customers to continuously improve visual presentation.
- Performance Analysis & Optimization:
- Analyze sales and performance data to measure the impact of visual initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with store leadership to drive merchandising decisions that enhance customer experience and sales.
Professional Experience & Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in visual merchandising, including planogram creation and management, preferably in a multi-store retail environment.
- Strong understanding of music culture, instruments, and audio equipment.
- Proven track record of developing creative visual concepts that drive sales.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) for visual design and merchandising assets.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in planogram software (e.g., JDA, Blue Yonder, or similar tools) is highly preferred.
- Ability to travel as needed to support store visits and installations.
