What to Expect

The Sr. Modeler is responsible for assisting the modeling team in conducting methodological and financial/economic research for developing predictive quantitative models, providing detailed data analysis and delivering general model-related analytic support.

What You Will Do

1. At the direction of the Sr. Manager, Quantitative Modeling, assist modeling team in the design and development of predictive models, and provide analytic solutions to support business functions.

2. Maintain model production processes and perform additional analysis as needed to support business functions.

3. Support internal and external auditors, model governance, legal and compliance, accounting, and other stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to internal policies.

4. Support model implementation and monitoring.

5. Partner with IT, data engineering and EDW teams to validate and improve data quality.

Qualifications

What You Will Bring
Minimum 3 years predictive modeling experience.
Financial and auto industry experience a plus.
Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Econometrics, Mathematics.
Ph.D. preferred.
Deep understanding of statistical and data science, theoretical foundations and techniques such as generalized regression, survival analysis, sampling design, hypothesis testing, stochastic processes etc.
Proficiency in Machine Learning algorithms and models, and familiarity with Artificial Intelligence approaches and platforms
Ability to translate abstract statistical concepts and analytic results into actionable business insights
Proficient in statistical programming utilizing SAS, Python, R or other related software and platforms
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Attention to detail and timelines

Work Environment

Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.

The posted salary range for this job takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. Successful candidates may be hired anywhere in the salary range based on these factors. It is uncommon to hire candidates at or near the top of the range.
