Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and analysis of aerospace Active Thermal Control Systems (ATCS).
- Develop and execute thermal test setups, providing hands-on support and troubleshooting.
- Produce independent analytical assessments, detailed reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with vendors and NASA personnel to align thermal system requirements and solutions.
- Utilize Thermal Desktop and SINDA/FLUINT for thermal modeling and simulations.
- Apply deep understanding of orbital thermal environments to system development.
- Ensure compliance with NASA standards and MSFC specifications.
- Lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related field from an ABET-accredited university (required).
- Ph.D. with a minimum of 14 years, Master's with at least 18 years, or Bachelor's with at least 20 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in aerospace ATCS design and analysis.
- HVAC experience, preferably in aerospace applications.
- Proficiency in thermal test setup support and execution.
- Expertise in Thermal Desktop and SINDA/FLUINT or equivalent tools.
- Comprehensive knowledge of orbital thermal environment development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with NASA standards and MSFC specifications.
- Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams.
- MUST BE US CITIZEN FOR GOVERNMENT CONTRACT OR CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT
