Job Description

The Associate Director of HIM (Health Information Management) is responsible for assisting the Director and coordinating Health Information Mangement services and departmental projects across the various shifts
  • Working with HIM line managers, directs and monitors the Health Information Management functions
  • Montors Health Information Mangement systems and maintains the standards for data quality, ethical practice and appropriate productivity standards
  • Ensure appropriate staffing coverage, prepare work schedules
  • Participates in the development of Health Information Mangement policies and procedures on release of information, confidentiality, information security information storage and retrieval and record retention
  • Documents and enforces the healthcare system's Health Information polices and procedures


Minimum Qualifications
1. Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Hospital Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Health or a related discipline; and
2. Four (4) years of administrative experience and background at responsible management and administrative levels; or
3. An equivalent combination of training, educational background and experience in related fields and educational disciplines may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
