Description:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing and directing the overall operations of the maintenance department for all Farouk locations. The manager organizes the maintenance team's activities for the upkeep of production equipment, warehouse equipment, buildings, offices and landscapes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Plan, direct and oversee all facility and equipment maintenance activities including equipment installation, equipment repair and preventative maintenance.
Oversee work order program and assign projects to maintenance personnel or outside contractors as appropriate to ensure continuous operation of the facility.
Manage and maintain spare parts and critical parts inventory and coordinate ordering of all equipment parts and supplies as needed.
Plan, direct and oversee preventative maintenance programs for all facility equipment and manage the CMMS.
Supervise and direct maintenance personnel including preparing work schedules, ensuring quality of work and evaluating performance.
Coordinate with Production, Operations, Warehouse and other departments to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all services completed on equipment, repair orders and maintenance purchases.
Assists with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions.
Ensure compliance with GMP, OSHA, Company policies and all other regulatory requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or other relevant field preferred.
8+ years' of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the consumer goods industry.
5+ years of supervisory experience required.
Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical, electrical, electronic, plumbing, hydraulic, HVAC systems and PLC troubleshooting.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated analytical, business planning and problem solving skills.
Ability to set goals, create plans, implement and measure results.
Strong team building skills and the proven ability to work with a diverse group of people.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Must be able to walk, sit, stand, bend, lift and move continually during working hours.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
