Sibley Memorial Hospital, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hematology/Oncology APP to join our multidisciplinary oncology team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive care to oncology patients, working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in a state-of-the-art facility.
This APP will support Medical oncology patients in the infusion center who require urgent evaluation for treatment-related complications, disease-related concerns, or acute issues arising during the administration of cancer therapy. The essential functions include:

Salary Range: Minimum 57.99 per hour - Maximum 89.88 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.

This APP will support Medical oncology patients in the infusion center who require urgent evaluation for treatment-related complications, disease-related concerns, or acute issues arising during the administration of cancer therapy. The essential functions include:
- Conduct urgent evaluations of oncology patients for treatment-related complications, disease-related concerns.
- Assess and manage acute issues arising during cancer care, including hypersensitivity reactions, infusion-related events, anaphylaxis and rapid responses situations
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, radiographic imaging, and other diagnostic studies to support clinical decision-making.
- Initiate and adjust routine, complex, and emergent medication regimens and therapies, including interventions aligned with BLS/ACLS protocols.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care and meet organizational goals.

Qualifications:
- Current APRN or PA license in the District of Columbia.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing or Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Family, or Adult-Gerontology.
- Prefer one year of oncology background, specifically infusion related.
- Strong clinical skills in oncology, including knowledge of cancer treatment protocols, symptom management, and patient education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
